Choosing a western vest
Leather or suede
Smooth full-grain leather holds its shape and shrugs off weather. Suede is soft and napped with a classic ranch look, but needs a protector spray and a brush to stay clean.
Buttons, snaps and laces
Button fronts give the traditional western line. Lace-up sides let you adjust the fit over a shirt or a sweater, and fringe adds movement.
Sizes for men and women
Men's western vests run S to 8XL and women's run XS to 5XL. Any vest can also be made to your own measurements.

What's the difference between leather and suede?
Leather has a smooth, sealed surface that handles rain and wear well. Suede is the napped side of the hide: softer and more matte, but it marks more easily and should be kept dry.
How do I care for a suede vest?
Brush it with a soft suede brush after wearing, spray it with suede protector before the first wear, and let it air-dry away from heat if it gets wet.
Can I wear a western vest on the bike?
