Wearing and caring for suede
Softer look
Suede is the brushed inner side of the hide. It is softer and less shiny than full-grain leather, which suits western and casual outfits.
Keep it dry
Treat suede with a water and stain protector before the first wear, and let it air dry away from heat if it gets wet.
Brush, do not wipe
Use a suede brush to lift the nap and remove dust. Avoid wet cloths and leather conditioner on suede.

Is suede real leather?
Yes. Suede is real leather made from the inner side of the hide and buffed to a soft, velvety finish.
Is a suede vest good for motorcycle riding?
Suede is fine for casual riding in dry weather, but full-grain leather is tougher and handles rain better. For regular riding, choose a leather motorcycle vest.
How do I clean a suede vest?
Brush it with a suede brush, use a suede eraser on marks, and take deep stains to a leather cleaner. Do not machine wash it.
