Distressed leather is real leather given a hand-worked finish so it looks aged and broken in, with uneven color and texture.
Does distressed leather wear out faster?
No. The finish is on the surface. The leather underneath is as strong as smooth leather of the same thickness.
How do I care for a distressed leather vest?
Wipe it with a dry cloth and use leather conditioner a few times a year. Avoid heavy polish, which can even out the vintage look.
