Choosing a shearling vest
Collar or full lining
A shearling collar keeps wind off your neck while the body stays light. A full shearling lining traps heat around your chest and back, where you feel the cold most on a bike.
Layering
Shearling takes up room inside the vest. If you plan to wear a thick sweater or hoodie underneath, go one size up or choose Custom and send your measurements.
Care
Wipe the leather with a damp cloth and condition it once or twice a season. Brush the shearling gently and never put it in a washing machine or dryer.

Are shearling vests warm enough for winter riding?
Shearling-lined vests hold heat well around your core. On cold rides, wear one over a long-sleeve layer and under a jacket if needed; your arms stay free to move.
Should I size up for a shearling vest?
If you will wear thick layers underneath, yes. The lining takes up some room, so one size up gives you space without the vest pulling at the front.
Is the shearling collar removable?
On our shearling-collar vests the collar is sewn in, so it stays put at speed. Check the product page for each vest's exact build.
How do I clean shearling?
Spot-clean the leather with a damp cloth, brush the shearling to keep it soft, and take heavy stains to a leather specialist. Never machine wash it.
