The suede shearling liner is the detail that makes this vest stand apart. The moment you put it on over a t-shirt you understand it's warmer, softer, and more comfortable than a plain lined vest. The leather exterior is classic black cowhide with good grain and solid weight. Hardware is quality and functions exactly as it should. Took the full three weeks to arrive and came very well packaged. Exactly what was described and worth every bit of the price.
I hadn't considered a suede-lined vest until a friend showed me his. First time I tried mine on I understood immediately. The combination of the leather exterior and the suede interior creates a vest that's warm, comfortable, and looks exactly like a classic biker vest from the outside. The shearling insulation is real and dense. Custom-sized to my measurements and the fit is perfect. This one replaced two other vests in my lineup.
If you ride in any kind of cool weather, a suede-lined vest is the practical upgrade over a standard leather interior. The one LMCV put into this vest is quality it's soft, it insulates, and it's stitched in cleanly so it doesn't shift or bunch when you're riding. The black cowhide exterior is quality leather. Made to my custom measurements. The back panel is the right size for my patch set. Hard to find a complaint with this one.
